The Flagship Expression
BLOCK is our Brutalist flagship — and the current flagship across all our Art Speakers.
It represents a culmination of everything we’ve learned over the years, building speakers like the Original Art Speaker as well as The Classic. With BLOCK, that experience has been refined into a more resolved and deliberate form — where material, structure, and sound are considered as one.

A Larger, More Capable Enclosure

The Art Brutalist Block Speaker features a larger enclosure of just under 4 litres.
This increase in internal volume allows the speaker more space to develop its sound, resulting in greater depth and a more composed overall presentation. It is a design decision rooted not just in form, but in performance.
Layered Construction

At first glance, BLOCK appears as a simple monolithic form. A raw geometric object inspired by the uncompromising forms of Brutalist architecture. Look a little closer and you’ll discover a layered construction where each material serves a distinct purpose.

Hand-Finished Microcement
The outermost layer is formed from multiple applications of microcement, carefully built up and finished by hand. More than a surface treatment, it is what gives BLOCK its tactile character — creating subtle variations in texture and depth that make every piece unique. The result is a finish that feels raw, architectural and distinctly Brutalist.
Carbon-Reinforced PETG Structure
Beneath the microcement lies a 3D-printed carbon-reinforced PETG enclosure. This structural core provides the strength and rigidity required to support the speaker while allowing forms and details that would be difficult to achieve through traditional cabinet-making methods. It forms the foundation upon which the entire object is built.
Integrated Acoustic Lining
Integrated within the enclosure is a 3D-printed acoustic lining designed to help manage internal reflections. Working discreetly beneath the visible surfaces, this layer contributes to the acoustic environment within the speaker enclosure, supporting a more controlled listening experience. Together, these elements form a deliberate balance — a rigid outer structure paired with a controlled internal environment.
Sound Performance

The result is a presentation that feels precise and composed, with accurate imaging and a clear sense of separation between instruments.
Vocals are rendered with clarity and presence, allowing them to sit naturally within the mix. This makes the Art Brutalist Block Speaker equally engaging for both music listening and film.
Mono and Stereo Use

BLOCK works well as a single unit.
However, it truly stands out when used as a stereo pair. In stereo, the soundstage opens up with greater space and depth, creating a more open, layered presentation that allows the music to breathe.
A Refined Direction

The Art Brutalist Block Speaker is not just an evolution in form — it represents a shift in direction.
A move towards less, but no less distinct.
